Tweet tweet, it’s Friday. Lots of great weekend reading for you: Gary Arndt of Everything Everywhere has got some travel stories to tell, Jonathan Gold puts out another 99 list, and Jeff Bercovici begrudgingly admits that the media world isn’t what it used to be.

One of the travel blogs that I follow, Roaming Tales, has taken a new approach to Follow Friday* on Twitter that I think is clever. Instead of posting a stream of @xxxes on her own Twitter account, she updates a page on her blog with the Twitter links to people she finds to be interesting, as well as an explanation of who they are and why they deserve recognition. I’ve decided to adopt a similar idea, but I’m going to take it one step further and give you reading material as well. Why? Because everyone should read, darn it.
